This Day in History

March 17, Any Year

St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated.  Though St. Patrick is widely believed to have driven the snakes from Ireland, this is false. Ireland, being an island, had no snakes, instead historians believe that the term snake referred to the native pagans. That is also false. In reality St. Patrick was the one who drove Whitesnake from Ireland, forever freeing the Emerald Isle from the plague of 1980’s heavy metal.
